ABOUT BALI MAMA

I’m Winé Pramiyanti, founder of Bali Mama, a Javanese-born yoga teacher who now resides in Bali, and a devoted mother of two boys—both welcomed gently into the world at home under the care of a midwife. My own pregnancy and birth journeys deeply shaped the path of my work and devotion to supporting mothers. My passion for prenatal yoga began during my first pregnancy in 2006, when I experienced firsthand the profound support that mindful movement, breath, and body awareness can offer throughout pregnancy and postpartum. This experience inspired a lifelong commitment to supporting women through the transformative stages of motherhood. In 2010, I founded the Prenatal Yoga Program at Bumi Sehat Foundation, a non-profit clinic dedicated to providing accessible prenatal care and gentle birth support for the local community. Through this program and my work with Bali Mama, I continue to offer prenatal yoga education, workshops, and guidance that support women’s health, conscious pregnancy, and empowered birth. My work integrates yoga, mindful movement, and holistic awareness to nurture physical, emotional, and energetic wellbeing. It is guided by the Javanese philosophy of rasa, karsa, karya—thought, feeling, and action—an approach to cultivating holistic human potential. I believe prenatal and postnatal yoga can be a powerful source of support, helping mothers feel connected, informed, and held during one of life’s most profound journeys.
